Please note supply chain shortage update 06-06-2022:   

Due to the supply chain shortages we have been having a difficult time obtaining parts to produce our products.  Some of our parts have been on order for 8-9 months and have yet to receive an estimate on when we expect delivery.  Some parts are being received for certain products and we will do our best to fulfill what we can.
 
Also note production delays: some of our facility (offices and plant) has been moving to a new location and production will take longer as portions of the plant are not in operation at all times – we apologize for the delays.

In addition we have been experiencing problems with our email system and many emails were never received on the following accounts our sales@pencomdesign.com and orders@pencomdesign.com, this has been happening for some time and we were unaware since it is happening sporadically. 

We have created two new accounts to use until we can determine the problems we are having with our system sales2@pencomdesign.com and orders2@pencomdesign.com please use these emails to contact us.

Other email address have been the same problems and we will work to correct these too.

Relay boards with 8 channels (8 relays on the board)

Designed for single board operation or multiple board operation on the same USB port - this is accomplished by adding our 8 channel RS232 boards in a daisy chain configuration.  Up to 15 RS232 boards can be connected to the first USB board in this daisy chain configuration - allowing up to a total of 128 relays under PC control on each USB port. Each additional RS232 requires one  modular cable to connect to the next board. 

Each board has a board address when used in multiple board applications (daisy chained).  DIP switches are used to uniquely identify each board - since all the boards are connected to the same USB channel, the host computer needs to communicate to each board - without talking to the other boards on the same channel. Every board must be set to a different address to operate correctly.
