Dual Channel RS232 Serial Relay Board

Features

Low cost 2 channel serial relay board with heavy duty 10 Amp 250VAC/28VDC SPDT power relays, controlled through one of the PC RS232 serial ports.

	ASCII commands to control relays.
	Easy hook up using standard modular telephone cable.
	Any software language that can write to the PC serial port can be used with this relay board NO special drivers needed.
	4800-38400 baud (default 9600 baud)
	LED Indicators for relays

Two versions available:

	Model: S2-RLY-EXT - powered by an external wall transformer (enclosure available for this model only, order P/N RLY-ENC-EXT below)
	Model: S2-RLY-INT - with an on board 120VAC 60Hz power transformer. (NO enclosure available)
	Model: S2-RLY-INT-2 with an on board 230VAC 50/ 60Hz power transformer. (NO enclosure available).

Relay testing software available for Windows to program and verify the operation of the relay board before writing your own software program. Please note: The relay board does not ship with software, see below to download the software or order the software on disk.

Longer modular cable assemblies are available if the supplied cable is too short for your application.

Note: The reed relay boards below are identical to the standard units except they have the reed relays installed. The reed relays are SPST and the common and NO (normally open) contacts are used on the terminal block, the NC contact is not used when these relays are installed.

Reed relays are typically used in low current, fast switching, low bounce, and high reliability applications (up to 10 billion operations), as in ATE equipment. No minimum current or voltage requirements. Reliability tested to 1 billion operations (from the manufacturer's specifications). Single pole single pole configuration. 200VDC/200VAC Peak Resistive, reed relays are typically not designed for controlling inductive loads.
